Raiford is a small town located in Union County, Florida, United States. It has a population of around 200 people and covers an area of approximately 1 square mile. The town is known for its historic Raiford School, which was built in 1915 and originally served as a grade school for local children. Raiford is also home to the Florida State Prison, one of the largest maximum-security prisons in the state. The prison is located just north of the town and houses more than 1,400 inmates.
